Maribel who was educated as a Lawyer and Accountant and worked with top Law Firms in Madrid until her soul called her elsewhere brings a special feminine touch and vision to the project. She spent two intensive years studying with one of Madrid’s top spiritual dance teacher and has a great love for dance with her specialty being middle eastern veil dance. Her several seasons in Calcutta with Mother Theresa’s organization offered her invaluable access to the perennial question of death and the great need for compassion towards humans. She has a love for beauty and enjoys making offerings to the alter, cleansing the crystals, burning copal incense and arranging the flowers along with teaching Yoga and working with women. She took the course she now helps teach in April 2008 and received her Agama Yoga Teaching certificate in August 2009 although she had been involved in Yoga for some years already. Although she loves working at the energetic and physical levels of Hatha Yoga, her real passion is sitting meditation. She has received great benefit from TM meditation, Kriya Yoga and the Revelation of The Spiritual Heart or Hridaya Yoga of Sahajananda of Agama Yoga. Maribel is a Mexican citizen and one of her great aspirations is to extend the program to be available not only in English but in Spanish for which she begun by translating the 150 pages of Agama course papers into Spanish. Besides teaching the regular Agama program, she also periodically co-leads meditation retreats, offers dance and teaches Yoga in Spanish workshop. She is certified with 500 hours each in both Agama and Hridaya Yoga.
